I’m Kelsey Fields, a cinematographer with a strong passion for visual storytelling. I have recentlry graduated with a Master’s degree in Film and Television Production with Cinematography from the University of York, where I specialized in cinematography and developed a strong understanding of the technical and creative aspects of camera work. My experience ranges in short films and narrative dramas, where I love to dive into how lighting, composition, and movement can shape a story.
 

For me, cinematography isn’t just about capturing beautiful images, it’s about enhancing the emotion and meaning behind every scene. I enjoy exploring themes around relationships, personal growth and emotional journeys, and I’m constantly finding ways to connect with audiences on a deeper level through visuals. I like to work on projects that are diverse on and off screen as I beleive this helps to better reflect society and creates better stoyrtelling. 
 

In my work, I’ve developed strong skills in camera operation, lighting techniques, and creative framing.  I’m always pushing myself to learn something new on every project and bring that sense of discovery into my craft.
